Admissions Question?

If you find yourself among the millions of people who battle with addiction and want to stop, chances are you have questions as to where to start. We’re here to help.

Roughly 21 million Americans struggle with a substance abuse disorder. However, data shows that only about 10% ever seek treatment. Many people attempt to get sober on their own, but without professional intervention, it can be difficult to overcome a drug or alcohol addiction. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, finding a professional treatment facility should be the first step towards recovery.

Finding the Right Treatment Program

Addiction is different for everyone, and every individual begins their sobriety journey at a different place. Substance abuse treatment isn’t one size fits all, so before you start treatment, you’ll need to determine which program is right for you. Over time, you’ll transition to less intensive programs that help you stay committed to your sobriety for the long term.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Residential Treatment is the most intensive in long-term addiction and mental health care. Clients at Defining Wellness Centers begin intensive inpatient programs as soon as they’re medically cleared to participate. Each person’s individual program may vary based on medical necessity, their clinical treatment plan, and length of stay, but all participate in a rigorous program designed to identify and address trauma and other underlying issues.

Utilizing a combination of individual and group-based therapeutic sessions, each client starts the process of identifying their desired program goals and outcomes and the clinical team aids them in creating a plan to address their needs. Working together, the clinical treatment team and client collaborate on healthy objectives for the wellness journey.

Clients often spend between 30-90 days in inpatient residential treatment, addressing underlying issues and working toward clinical goals. Our clients live on a secure treatment campus with gender-specific housing and on-site 24/7 staff monitoring. While at the inpatient residential treatment level of care, clients develop a solid foundation upon which to continue their wellness journey – to be healthy, happy and whole.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Functioning as a bridge between inpatient residential treatment and intensive outpatient services, our Partial Hospitalization Program, commonly known as PHP, provides a structured treatment protocol while clients live independently and re-integrate into their daily lives in a healthier way.

Participating in structured treatment Monday through Friday, the program is designed for adults requiring an intense level of structured care. The program includes daily group therapy and weekly meetings with our medical team, psychiatrist and an individual therapist. This program is ideal for individuals transitioning from inpatient treatment and can provide support for those fighting addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

For clients who need intensive support to address a substance use disorder or alcohol use disorder, our Intensive Outpatient Program, also known as IOP, is a great solution. Defining Wellness Centers IOP level of care features at least 10 therapy hours per week. We have a variety of options available to meet the needs of most schedules, including evening intensive outpatient session times.

Clients engage in group therapy three times per week as well as participating in individual therapy sessions with licensed, masters-level therapists. Throughout the IOP program clients also have the option to participate in family therapy sessions, or sessions with loved ones who are strong support systems for them. Clinical care is guided by our licensed Clinical Director and board-certified addiction medicine physician.

Outpatient Treatment Program

Outpatient treatment, or OP, is a long-term treatment program available that supports clients in their sustained recovery. Often utilized after completing an inpatient program and/or intensive outpatient programming, OP is wonderful for those who have the desire and motivation to get sober but can’t take time away from work, school or other responsibilities. Less frequent in nature than intensive outpatient programs, outpatient therapy is comprised of a mixture of one-on-one and group therapy sessions.

Strengthening your sobriety and solidifying your wellness foundation are the goals of outpatient treatment. Each person’s plan is tailored to their needs and the Defining Wellness Centers team provides therapy, support and guidance as clients work to achieve their individual milestones.

Monitoring

To support long-term recovery the team at Defining Wellness Centers offers ongoing reinforcement via client monitoring. Monitoring is specific to each individual client and includes phone calls to check-in therapeutically, ongoing drug and alcohol screenings, and continued support for loved ones as they navigate the recovery journey with the client. A case manager is assigned to a client who follows them through their treatment experience with Defining Wellness Centers and works with them even after their inpatient and outpatient programs conclude.

Monitoring helps loved ones to continue to provide support in the way that only those close to the client can. It takes much of the burden off of family members to monitor the client’s behaviors and actions, as the Case Manager is meeting that need. By incorporating as many measures as possible into one’s recovery and wellness program, it reduces the risk of lapse or relapse and promotes continued healing and abstinence from substance use.
